At 26^th of July 2019 Xanthi Forest Directorate completed, after public call, an Environmental educational one day activity with children from primary education (7-12 YEARS) with main subject “peri-urban forest bounds to the sea” in the context of information actions (action Ε8) of FoResMit program.

The action took place to the children’s camp of Primary Education Department at Avdera of Xanthi. The camp is located in a Pine Forest nearby the sea. The event included environmental educational activities with children such as interactive reading and presentation of the children’s book “Green Smiles” by educators, interactive environmental outdoor toys with gifts for the children, actions with educators, puppet theater with main theme about recycling and environment, etc. Promotional materials were distributed to the children and their companion.

The one-day event, in addition to children’s fun, promoted the sensitization of all those involve with the purpose of the LIFE FoResMit project.

The event was attended with interest by the Regional Primary Director of East Makedonia and Thrace, School Counselors and Camps Educators.
